Mayan Gateway Ruins

This is my game environment project of a Mayan inspired scene for the CGMA intro to environment art course. I worked on this project about 3 days a week primarily on weekends for 11 weeks. All work is done by myself. All the vegetation I made was created based on the research I did for flora existing in around Cozumel Mexico, and some surrounding areas. The stonework I kept consistent to make it look like it's all made from the same rocks.

This is my first time tackling an entire scene and my first time making foliage. Any tips or criticism is always welcome, and feel free to leave a comment if you have a question on some of my processes too. Thanks for viewing my environment!

Gateway Design, using a combination of shapes and splatter circular I created all the designs that went on the gateway door. I then took this design applied a sculpt and colour work using Zbrush and Sub-Painter, then combined it all again back in Designer
